samba percussion course

This is an introductory/beginning level course taught in an ensemble format, paced for students with little or no experience in percussion music. The 6-week course covers the techniques for playing samba instruments, rhythms and musical arrangements in the tradition of the escolas de samba, Rio de Janeiro, Brazil. All instruments provided. The course meets on Saturday mornings from 9:30am until 10:45am, Sepyember 19th through November 7th at the School of Arts and Culture inside the Mexican Heritage Plaza, 1700 Alum Rock Ave, San José, CA 95116.

The 6-class course fee is $150 per student—there is no drop-in option or per-class fee. Preferred forms of payment are Venmo and PayPal, though the exact amount in cash is accepted as well. Please register below by Friday, September 4th.
